A Psalms Prayer

Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust.

Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord! I have fled to you for refuge.

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God!

Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!

This was an excerpt from a Psalm that I spoke or more specifically pleaded in prayer when my depression was at its worst. Since, then, it has become a Psalm of comfort that I return to from time to time when I need direction or to be reminded of Who my God is.

Lord, thank you for the morning and your love that never fails. I am at a crossroads (specific struggle) and trust you to make known the way I should go. God, I lift up my soul and seek you as my refuge. Teach me to do your will in (this specific matter). I trust you Holy Spirit to lead me on level ground. Amen.
