From self-care to Vessel Care: One chapter at a time
This is the first in a series exploring each chapter of my new book through key excerpts.

"Setting our minds on God’s ways and our eyes on Christ’s work instead of our own takes countercultural intention. Not the overwhelming hard work of self-sufficiency, but a purposeful posture of dependency. Many do not live the Christian life this way and miss out on true living. All, at times, are tempted not to. In some ways, we are still like the legalistic Pharisee, the hopeless paralyzed man, and various Old Testament characters trying to either rush and force God’s promises, or earn and keep our own righteousness." Vessel Care, Introduction pg 2
We need a reset, or better yet, a return to original intent.
