Vessel Care: A Guide to Realign

As I wait for the Vessel Care book release and first workshop, I sit in a hospital room, states away from my husband and kids, caring for my aging parents and discussing hospice. In this world, trouble will come. It’s inevitable. Trouble we cause, trouble others cause, and trouble that comes from being part of this broken world that continues to groan for the Lord’s return.
Life is precious. God gives, and God takes away, in His own way and in His own time. A big part of me pleads – Jesus, please just come – while another part knows if we are still here, there is still life to live and work to do. That’s why we, Christ followers, can 'Take Heart' amidst life’s stressors. It’s not necessarily a feeling; it’s not denial either; it’s hope and guidance to experience a part of heaven here on earth while we wait.
I wrote this book as an informative, challenging guide to address the deception of “self-care” and reclaim what God intended. We are His vessels, created in His image, made to glorify Him. While I consider my mom’s decline, worry about the coming effects on my dad, and the need for complete dependence and divine connection in the midst of these and other things, I shift my focus onto the Vessel Care message God gave me and take a step to practice what is preached.

Vessel Care: A Practical Guide to Realigning One’s self for God’s Purposes.
When we recognize ourselves as God’s intentional creation, we can trust Him as our authority and embrace caring for our whole selves as faithful stewardship. Vessel Care explores the ongoing journey of realigning every part of ourselves- spirit, soul, and body-with God's truth and design.
This guide provides:
• A biblical and psychological framework for understanding the connection
between spirit, soul, and body.
• Practical aid for individuals, clinicians, and churches seeking to approach
self-care through a biblical lens.
• Tools for building resilience and navigating life's stressors and changing
seasons with faith and intentionality.
